Turning over a new leaf....

So most of you know my motto for life: Which I still totally beleive. I used to have the saying, "dull women have emaculate homes" on my wall. Again, still believe (with the exeption of the lazy that have maids so they can party and haev a clean house....jealous). And yes, it may be an excuse for my dirty house, but seriously to keep a house clean with a 2, 5 and 6 year old, would honestly consume my entire day! I feel like I have them cleaning all day as well. It's just not a fun life.
In fact, this will gross some of you out, but I skipped spring cleaning this year. Completely skipped it. I thought we'd for sure be moved out by now, but alas, we're not. So I'm not left with a gross house and a little thing I call a crappy week of fall cleaning. The kids have gotten into the routine of cleaning up outside of their room at night, and cleaning their room every morning, so as long as I can keep them on that then I can get all of the floors done today. Work on the windows tomarrow...inside and out, then clear out the closets the rest of the week. BLAH! I hate cleaning weeks. And I know, there are a few of you that live for the vaccum lines in your rugs, and to have your windows so clear they look like they aren't there, but me, not so much. I live for K making dinner with me every night (which I just found out has left food underneath the bottoms of our top cupboards) and for B playing in the mud (even though he hauls dirt through the house) and for J enjoying the cookies that K and i made, even though he's the messiest eater IN THE WORLD, I'm not going to make him enjoy the cookies in the kitchen. I know, I know, this is all easy for me to say because I'm in a rental, but seriously, I'm probably the farthest thing away from OCD. Sometiems wish I was a little more clean, but already feel like too much of my life is spent cleaning. But for this week, this is me.....(outfit and all)....

Off to work I go

Freak I feel like that is my life too! I only have 1 child! Crap it doesn't get better?! Sheesh!

I do love the feeling of a clean house, if I could just remember that feeling while I am cleaning!

Good luck...you are in my thoughts!

I with you completely on this. I wish I was cleaner, but, the fact is I'm not, and I honestly don't want to be freakishly clean anyway. I think Josh wonders what the heck I do all day when the house is a disaster or the laundry hasn't been done in two weeks or there is just stuff all over the floor. And I wonder how can I clean up after the kids all day and still have this mess of a house?! It's annoying. My bathroom definitely doesn't get clean often enough, and the funny thing is I'm okay with it! I don't care if my bathroom is dirty, as long as I enjoy the good times that's what matters! Oh and I clean in the same outfit! What a coincidence!

Let me guess - you feel guilt after being in my spotless house this weekend? Yes - you can drink out of my toilets, Shayna and Tessa have alphebetized their toys and my pantry is like a masterpiece.

Sarcasim is a beautiful thing:-)

I think cleaning in a mini skirt apron and cute high heels would make it a little more enjoyable.

I am NOT a clean person now, so its going to be interesting when I add kids to the mix. We'll see how that goes.

I always think that thank goodness the people whose houses I cleaned in college can't see how messy mine is now. Someday it will be clean!

I love people like that> jessica (Bushman)Tubbs used to come over to my house when we were little and clean my room....I wasn't clean back then either, and she LOVED cleaning. Maybe we could have some kind of running cleaning race when you're here. Ha! No, but I'm serious, we're both dropping 2lbs that day your here! We'll motivate each other!
