Waa Waa Waa

Ok, first off, I'm going to start with a slight insensitivity.  Or maybe just full lack of compassion.  But I've had TOO many mom friends complain about how they have so much to do, or they're stressed out, or, when I tell them that I'm tired of ending my day feeling overwhelmed and depressed they say, oh yea, me too.  Fine, sure, maybe they do…but it's always the ones that have either a "mommy helper" (a high school or college girl that comes and helps them with the kids, or housework, or cooking, or JUST A GROWN UP TO TALK TO!…and these are much more common than I had thought), and the ones that have housekeepers at least once a month…usually the mom friends that have both.  By NO means am I against either of these…in fact, I'm completely jealous of both….but there are LOTS of us out there, that can't afford either and have to be the full time mom, the one that 100% cleans the house, makes the meals, takes her kids grocery shopping, takes her kids everywhere she goes all week long….I do believe that makes the days a bit harder.  I love it, and 99% of the time I want my kids with me….but to have someone come WITH me and my kids once a week or so and just help out…or to have someone, once a month come and help me get caught up on the house…yea, I'd feel a little more accomplished and a little less tired.
 Ok, done.

Now on to cuter things.  I made my girls wear their cute matchy dresses/pants one last time before they both out grown them.  Kam's dress is getting too tight and Bib's pants are.  I just love these two. I'm so glad they have each other!!

Bzz review

As a Bzzagent I was able to try a Dofino cheese for free.  We tried the Edam.  We put it on a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with apples.  All of us at it, but we all agreed Edam isn't our favorite cheese.  We should have gotten Havarti.

Fun at the park

Danica and I decided to take the kdis to the park for a bit to wear them out before we headed home.  This little monkey kept climbing to the top of EVERYTHING!  She has no fear AT ALL!  It's hilarious, but freaks me out!

Of course, Boston, always making sure everyone is having a good time. Love that kid!
and just a couple of quick shots of the beautiful landscape on our way home that evening….

As much as I do not like the desert, it IS beautiful.  We had a lake on one side and the mountains on the other.  Driven this road, probably thousands of times in my life, and only appreciate once or twice a year.  I might miss it just a bit if we get to move to the mountains this coming summer.

Fall Break Apple Pickin

This last week we spent 4 or 5 days up in Taylor.  One of the days Grandma set it up for us to go pick apples at her friend's orchard.  The kids loved it.  There were some spots with LOTS of bees, and some spots where the branches were so packed with apples that they were almost on the grass.  Vivvian mostly pointed out the ones for us to pick.
 Pearcen mostly climbed the trees….
Boston and Jaden would pick a few, eat a few….

Vivian finally decided to reach for one…and with a little help, she snagged it!

It was a lot of fun, and the apples are SO delicious! (and organic. :)

Back to Goals

So, I set goals sometimes, but I usually don't write them down…I wake up and think them and then forget them by 3pm.  But today I was blog reminising and came acrossed THIS POST and realized I have ALL of those adorable clothes just sitting in a box whilst I wear stretchy pants, and the same 5 t shirts EVERYDAY…going on TWO YEARS now…it's depressing . So I'm going to start small.  I want to lose 25 pounds before Christmas.  So I want to lose 2 pounds  a week.  I'm starting out at a whopping 175.  ugh! And yes, I was at 150 in May.  Crazy summer, and crazy stress eating to follow.  But I'm shooting for 2 pounds a week.

The plan you ask?

No sugar/dairy/non popcorn carbs after 4pm.

Double my water intake

Turbo Jam or Fire at least once a day

2-3 apples a day

STOP STRESSING!

So there it is.  I hope it works. I used to be THE will power girl.  the girl that could kill any cleanse/diet Hit my goals  every week.  And now…the new post baby me…FAILURE in the diet category.  But not anymore I'm ready to not be big!  And I don't feel super fat, or obese like I did for the first 9 months after I had Bibs, but I'm just large…and all of my cute clothes…are 15 pounds away.  Shouldn't be so hard!

Here it is…. me at 175 pounds…luckily you can't see much of me, but it's big.  Size 12 big.
 Here I am at 160…size 10.
 and 150, size 8.

Hawaii Grandma!

For the past month, Hawaii Grandma (Grandma Mulder) has been around.  She spent a week or so with us last month and then a few days this month before she flew out.  The kids had so much fun waking up and play with grandma, having books read to them by grandma and showing off for grandma.  We'll miss having her here.

I was lucky enough to force her into a few pictures with the kids (she's more anti pictures than I am).  And of course, you can see from Jaden's lack of smile, and Boston's ridiculous faces that it wasn't super organized…but that's life.

Some missing shots…and KM design!

I just found a small memory card that I had forgotten about from our awesome San Fransisco trip in June wiwth Justy and Lissy.  Just a few extra shots.  These first two are from our nice little lunch at the stinking rose…came HIGHLY recommended, but honestly probably our least favorite place we ate the whole trip.

And then our long walks through China town….
And on to KM Design.  haha.  Just kidding, but I AM super excited about this dress!  I LOVE making these!  So easy and so cute…sadly, this is my favorite one, and it BARELY fits around her…so it'll be pretty new when it comes to Ameila.  But Bibs is wearing it all weekend because I LOVE IT!!!!!!  It's just some fabric Danica gave me and the bottom is some trim that my mom had stashed away for a few decades.  And here is the pattern:  http://seekatesew.com/easy-baby-dress-pattern/

Um, this one cracks me up! I said pose for me, put your hand up…yea, she's that cool!
