My mean love life....Part III The college years

College was a whole new playing field for me. New boys, no rules, parties, and sadly, no dress code. I tried on some of my skirts from freshman year…wow, slut! Anyway, the first college victim would have to be Jared Wright. I thought he was a dream. He was on again off again dating a hot bod, forgot her name, but I remember he was very touchy, and I wasn’t used to that, but with him, I didn’t complain. He was probably only 5’10” 155lbs (which was actually smaller than me at the time), and he had bleached blonde hair, dressed too good to REALLY be straight, and was very spunky, not macho at all. He reminded me a lot of a blonder skinnier Christian from Clueless. Anyway, all that ever happened with us is I’d catch rides to the valley with him every few weekends, and we became great friends. He even bailed me out when my stupid baseball player date dogged me last minute for the winter formal…he took me. It’s the best picture, him on his tip toes, me with my knees bent. (crappy scan, but you can see the bent knees and tippy toes)
Whatta awful match!
Then a lot of annoying flirting and any excuse to touch others went on, and oh, let’s not forget my amazingly magical first kiss, which was something that I “owed” a drunk friend named Brian, which ended with me running in the house spitting in the sink because I wasn’t expecting his drunken tongue to come out of his mouth…blah! And then came Corey. I really don’t know why I dated this guy. I think it all started because I liked one of his friends, and he started hanging out with us too, and I guess something just caught my eye. We dated for about a month, just going to the BIG events in Thatcher, Az, aka whatever musical event Dr. Lunt was putting on. And we made a few trips to the valley together. My sisters loved Corey, so did my very young nieces, oh, and I think he was my first real kiss.
I remember dying his hair (it was horrible), fingerpainting and eating a lot of ice cream together, nothing too spectacular. Anyway, things got boring, and we stopped hanging out, and we were done. Neither of us broke up, we just split I guess. He was one of those really ambitious guys that tells all of the naïve mormon girls, “I’m getting ready to put my papers in”…for about 4 years, then never does. Whatta stud!

Part IV, The make out years coming soon....

You gave me that picture and I never noticed that you were bending your knees until now.

thanks for reminding me about jared and corey. i forget about people until my memory is jogged. me and corey actually wrote on our missions if i remember correctly. we didn't write for love. we wrote because we knew we'd get a letter back and that was important on the mission. did a guy named darren hancock go to EA with us? I just ran into him and i'm not sure what era of life that i know him from.

Really?! I heard from a good friend of COrey's that he never did serve that mission. And yes, Darren Hancock was an EAer...I don't think I ever spoke a word to him, but I remember him being there. Tall, skinny, glasses? I was going to write about Denny and how he was the first guy to stick his tongue in my ear and grab my butt, but this is about my LOVE life...sad, pathetic love life. But you gotta love Denny and his tongue ring and TUscon strippers!

Ha! Too funny. The Clueless things is right on for Jarred AND is that Craig Copple with Cara? He and his brother and sister were in my singles ward in Gilbert. It's funny how you don't ever think about people until somebody mentions their name, then all the memories (good and bad) come rushing back. I kissed Corey once on a bet (bad) and Denny and I went four wheeling in Duncan with our friend Curtis Lunt (good.) And, not like you care, but the girl was Lisa Hunter!

Hillarious Kristal!!! I remember feeling so bad for Corey because he had all these excuses for why he wasn't on a mission yet. Lame. Also sometimes he smelled like BO. Other than that he was a cool guy. I absolutely LOVE Denny but I'm not gonna lie he made me a little nervous with the tongue in the ear and grabbing butt thing. Poor guy how did he end up in a small mormon town?!?

This must have been the first year, I don't remember those guys, the names are familiar and I actually recognize the guy you went to the dance with. I am with Audy, SOOOO glad you ended up with Jase, he blows everyone of your flings out of the water! Can't wait for the next post!

Okay, I went to HS with Corey, never really hung out at all (to backwards for me), and then after breaking up with my first EA boyfriend, Corey asked for a ride home and while dropping him off he said, "You know what you need, you need a cuddling buddy. One where you can just freely hang out with, make out with and still feel free to kick it with other people.....that cuddling buddy could be me." I nicely said, "I should get a cuddling buddy, but I don't think your the match for that." He seemed to take it pretty well, but I just found it Ironic that one of the culest chicks I know, well....fell for that.....yuck. I am sorry. I totally shouldn't play on your emotions. Just glad you chose Jase, he's a cool cat. And your kids, are perfectly gorgeous, so in my opinion...you chose the right guy for sure, it shows in the beauty of your offspring.

So glad everyone feels the same way about my past mistakes. Yes, COrey made his rounds, sadly, I knew this before I hooked up with him. ew!
And yes, Cara's date is hot, huge, and nice. I think everyone has a connection to the coppel's. His sister and my sister were best friends when they were single. That's my connection.

I totally remember Corey! I remember going goofy golfing with you guys and him putting me on his shoulders. In my 10 year old mind, I thought you guys were gonna get married. hahaha

That dance picture is hilarious! Jared is way better looking in that picture than I remember him in real life...maybe b/c you can't see his bleach blonde hair.
