So, Kam's been waiting to go to school for about, um, 3 years. And she's had a countdown going for the last week or so. And this morning she said, "can I go now?". I told her after lunch. So every hour, "is it lunch time yet?". And finally the time came. She went and got her clothes on, took the curlers out of her hair, let me put a bow in her hair and she wanted some lipstick ( you can see it on the bottom picture...haha). And we walked out the door. I had boston in the stroller and I said, "look there's Airme (her bestfriend/neighbor) and her family walking to kindergarten" and she started running off and said, "I'll just go with them, bye"> I said, "no way, come back" then I explained that today is a special day for their family AND our family and it's something we do as a family. Ug! She didn't even care. Then as I was putting the breaks on the stroller, she ran right into her classroom, found her name, sat down and put her backpack on her chair. She didn't say bye or anything. I stood in the hall with the other mom's and Kam looked out and did the shooing away motion with her hands for me to leave. UG! Come on, throw me a bone here girl! Anyway, I'm glad she adjusts well and of coarse she loves it! First thing when she came home though, she was a bit dissapointed, "they didn't even give us a snack!". But she said they learned about cheese, horses and glue sticks, so I'm feeling good about this upcoming school year.

Dang that stinks! Seriously I would have stood and cried. I get sad when my kids leave without giving me hugs and kisses. They can't be old enough to not need us!
Again! I just love her hair! Its sooo pretty!
Holy cow, Kam is beautiful! Sorry the whole kindergarten thing didn't work as well as planned, but at least you still have Bossy to try again on in a couple of years.
