This last weekend I was soo excited to finally have a girls night, and I knew I'd only last for dinner, but it was at Brio's, so I was happy. I ended up being early so I sat and waited, and my mom and sister Randa came and they both had gift bags, so I was really freaked out that I was missing someone's birthday, then cousin's and old roomates started showing up and I thought it was just sisters and neices, so I slowly caught on. I was supposed to be late, but ended up being the first one...to my surprise baby shower. haha! It was a lot of fun. I was just telling Jase how sad it is that only the first of each sex gets a shower. I throw sip n sees for my friend's that have a second of the same sex. But every stinking baby should be celebrated. I think I was mostly saying this because we sold everything after Boston. We've had about 4 or 5 moves since then, and it wasn' t worth lugging it all around. Anyway, we had a lot of fun and I got lots of cute clothes, burp clothes, candle, an amazing photoshoot with the famous photographer Holly when this kid gets out, and a sewing machine...yea, a sewing machine. My pain in the butt best friend just got tired of hearing me tell her for the last year that I'm going to throw my machine through the window, so she gave me her old one which looks like it's never been used. ug! I'll have to make her something amazing with it to show my appreciation. Anyway, it was soo great to see everyone and of coarse to eat Brio's Bisteca Salad....Mmm, oh, and my hot friend that lost her weight last year when I did,b ut she's still skinny and hot...she was our waitress...glad Jase wasn't there. In earlier happenings, Boston helped me roll out a pizza crust last week....you can't deny a chef with mermaid underwear and a half wedgie!
Ok, and project #1 of many...this ugly old thing.....

Finally you admit it! A PAIN in the BUTT...I couldn't live without ya! Thanks for inviting me...I went home smiling after Brios just because your family always makes me feel so much better than I really am. Sorry it's just a hand me down...LAME I know, but I do know it makes good pumkins. That is the one and only project I used it for, which was of course your idea. I can't wait for fall just to put them out again.
Gotta get a pair of those cute mermaid undies for my little guy. No, that is what you call a Boston special.
thanks for getting back to me. we weren't at the family get together because we were in the valley still packing up our house. We've made three trips so far and we're finally through. We just have to go back and clean it and do a few repairs. YOU weren't at the bbq anyway, so we didn't miss much, right?
Jana, it takes one to know one....as you well know too. I think we'd both die w/o each other. Um, and your hand me down is 10x nicer than my sewing machine. Today is my big day to give it a try. And I can't wait for the pumpkins either!!!!
Trina...mermaid undies, target.
Bre, yea, we were in Oregon at my husband's once every 7 year family reunion, but I heard the cookout was a good turnout. We'll go next year if you guys do! Deal?
First comment - FUN to have a baby celebration when you don't know. I love that you were first. Women crack me up. I'm sure you got BEYOND cute gifts.
Second comment - who HOPES to move? Ick.
Um, I DO! I'm tired of renting!!!! I dont' care that I'll be 9 months along and moving...seriously, I've moved a week after having a baby, I've moved 7 months pregnant, and I wasn't this desperate eithe rtime. Plus, it's Jo City, the whole town will be helping. I've gotta get outta this house. I'm ok with the house, but not ok with the money we're wasting every month! ug!
