Inspiration of the day.....

At Kindergarten screening the other day I was sitting with my old bishop....a father of 10. I was telling him that I'm considering a water birth even though this kid might be 13lbs. He said his wife had ALL 10 with out a single drug...all vaginally...even the twins, and one was breach. And no, she didn't stop at the twins, she had one more. They are my kid's age. If she can do 10, I can do at least 3 more natural right?

haha, there's just been a few epidural stories lately, and I don't know if it really is true what they say about the bond and breastfeeding being a lot easier with natural, but it was 10x easier with Boss. Ug! I don't know. I'm going to find out at 38 weeks how big his head is, and that will be my deciding factor. I don't want to deliver another 50" head!!!!

You can do whatever you put your mind to! As my mother always used to say. I hope you get he support you need and deserve for whatever type of birth you want to have! Good luck Kristal!

I would love to try a water birth. So far I have not had an epidural and I have felt great after the delivery. I have heard some horror stories from other people about them and so I am going to try to never get one. I think that it is entirely mental and once you lose it mentally then you should take the drugs. At least that is what I asked the nurses to do for the poor women next to me when I was having Tanner. She was screaming like nothing I have ever heard before! It was a little scary. BTW..Happy Cinco De Mayo. Drink some horchata for me!!

Um, hahaha, yea, I'm the screaming lady. I was screaming my guts out as I pushed the world's biggest baby out, but what are my chances of having another ginormo baby that has neurofibromitosis (large heads are symptom of it)??? RIght? But I did just find out they don't do water births in the hospital in Flag...ug! I thought they did. I'll have to check more in the valley. I've also heard if you have big babies you should do water births, but I'm pretty sure this one isn't big.... I mean I think he's 9lbs or smaller. Wishful thinking.

You should try the water birth. I'm impressed you're considering natural after the Boston experience. We still tell your story. Everyone is super amazed! :)
