Girls night in - 2008

Friday night was Father's Son's campout, so K and I decided to go ALL girly with our night. We had been planning it for weeks before hand. And then, as I started to get MY hair and make up started, she was at the neighbors and she ran home and said, "mom, I'm doing girls night with A (our neighbor)". I was soo sad. I gave her guilt trips and told her how excited I was to do this, and she said, "well, we can still do it tomarrow night" which we couldn't, the boys would be back. Anyway, I told her she could go, and I kept getting ready. And as soon as I was all the way ready she came back and said, "they're going to Speedy's, so I need to come home". And as horrible as I still felt, I was glad she was back. So we did her make up and hair. Threw on some excess jewlry, got on our fancy clothes, took a few pictures, then off to the kitchen for the night. The top pic is our "cooking faces". The one on the bottom right is our happy to be girls and not be camping picturse. And the one on the left is just our fancy girls picture. This is our first self timer picture...you can tell by our faces we were holding our smiles forever before it finally snapped. Ha!
Anyway, then we made cupcakes and cookies for K to sell at our yard sale Saturday morning. And we painted fingernails, watched Shaggy Dog and ate chocolate ice cream while they were baking. Then, on our last batch, right before we got to decorate the cupcakes, K fell asleep in the love sac. So I decorated cupcakes all night cause I knew we wouldn't have time in the morning. Anyway, hopefully it was fun enough of a girls night that K will WANT to do it with ME next year! But I've gotta say, I miss dressing up, I think we'll make it our monthly ritual. Oh, and the dress that I am wearing is the one I bought 2 years ago to wear to Jase's graduation, but I could barely get it over my stomach when his graduation came....and luckily I didn't get any side shots of it here, cause I still lack about 2" of zipping it over my sports bra smashed boobs! Next girls night!

Shmeet - you look SMASHING! and so does Sweet little K!

About liking Winehouse can I just say "no, no, no" *sung in rehab tune. (only cuz Im the mom of teenagers) Your make up was fun though and I think you probably sing better than her too.

When we do our girls nights (which is more often then not) Kayla does my hair she calls it "bringin sexy back" Dont know how sexy it is, but its fun to play dress up with my girls.

Ok you seriously have to be one of the funnest moms ever. Not to mention you look Hot. I love that cute shirt you're wearing! And you do resemble Amy Whinehouse- only cuter I think. =)

Kristal, I love your girls night in idea, we had a girls morning on Saturday and went out for morning ice cream and shoe shopping, but I like the dress up idea, so fun! You look AMAZING, your face is so skinny and you are seriously a knock out. Hope you had a good weekend and are ready for the Monday weigh in . I am sure you were totally disciplined and stuff. I did pretty good this weekend, but Saturday morning ice cream wasn't much fun as I sat and watched kenz eat ice cream by herself, she didn't complain though. Kam is adorable too, love her little chef outfit!

You look so good! You girls are cute! Hey, I don't have a girl, and I only have 1 sister who lives 400 miles away, so next time you have to invite me to your girls night!
